Shah Faisal Mosque

Shah Faisal Masjid - (Shah Faisal Mosque):
Shah Faisal Mosque (Masjid), one of the largest mosques in the world is located on the northern edge of the capital city of Islamabad with the Margalla Hills as a back drop. The white marble geometric design with huge minarets make the mosque stunning. The architecture is reminiscent of Istanbul mosques, with a mix of Italian and Arabian influence.
Shah Faisal Mosque can accommodate 100,000 worshipers and within the mosque there is a museum, lecture hall, cafe, an extensive library, gift shop and a University that has over 700 students.
The Faisal Mosque is the largest mosque in Pakistan, located in the national capital city of Islamabad. Completed in 1986, it was designed by Turkish architect Vedat Dalokay to be shaped like a desert Bedouin's tent.

Badshahi Masjid (Royal Mosque)

Badshahi Masjid (Royal Mosque):
Badshahi Mosque situated outside the Lahore Fort, is one of four of the most famous examples of Mughal Architecture appreciated worldwide for its elegant blend of grace, strength, and harmony.
Apart from its design, it is also one of the largest mosques in the world. The mosque has the capacity to accommodate over 100,000 worshippers. It is said to have the largest mosque courtyard in the world for outdoor prayers. The amazing symmetry of the three giant white marble domes that cap the numerous arches is a marvel of architecture, and the numerous other huge domes and minarets are striking from a distance. The marble domes cover seven prayer chambers. Four lofty minarets stand at the four corners of the mosque, each with an outer circumference of 20 metres, soaring up to 54 meters.
The mosque was built by the great Emperor Aurangzeb, composed entirely of red sandstone; it was finished in the record time of only two and half years.
The Badshahi Mosque in Lahore was commissioned by the sixth Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. Constructed between 1671 and 1673, it is the second largest mosque in South Asia and the fifth largest mosque in the world.

Wazir Khan's Mosque

Masjid Wazir Khan (Wazir Khan's Mosque):
This unique mosque is one of the most beautiful mosques in Pakistan. It was built in 1634 by Hakim Ali-ud-din, popularly known as Wazir Khan, who was governor of the area during the reign of Shah Jahan. The Mosque is justifiably famous for the colorful fresco and tile decoration which adorns both the interior and exterior of the building.
The Wazir Khan Mosque in Lahore, Pakistan, is famous for its extensive faience tile work. It has been described as 'a mole on the cheek of Lahore.

Golden Mosque or Sunehri Masjid

Sunehri Masjid - (Golden Mosque):
Golden Mosque is a remarkably beautiful mosque with three golden domes. The mosque is elevated on a higher plinth, surrounded by old bazaars.
It has a beautiful gate-way which measures 21.33 metres in length and a courtyard that measures 161.5 x 160.6 metres and is said to be the largest mosque courtyard in the world for outdoor prayers. The marble domes cover seven prayer chambers. Four lofty minarets stand at the four corners of the mosque, each with an outer circumference of 20 metres, soaring up to 54 meters.

Bhong Masjid - (Bhong Mosque):
Bhong mosque is known for its exquisite design and architectural beauty with gold leaves carved for the intricate decorative patterns and the stylish calligraphic work.

Mahabat Khan Mosque

Mahabat Khan Masjid - (Mahabat Khan Mosque):
Mahabbat Khan Mosque is another example of magnificent Mughal architecture. A narrow gateway sandwiched between jewellery shops leads to the Mosque. The interior is beautifully colored with floral patterns and geometric designs. The prayer hall is sheltered beneath three domes with two minarets as borders, a show of redolent classic Mughal style. The mosque was named after Mahabbat Khan who was the governor that served under both Shah Jahan and Aurangzeb in the 1670s.

Dai Anga's Mosque

Dai Anga's Masjid - (Dai Anga's Mosque):
Dai Anga's Mosque is another spectacular piece of architecture built in the Moghal era. The design of the mosque is based on a single-aisle 3-bay plan form—a comparatively simplified version of the spectacular mosques built by the Mughals. The prayer chamber is divided into three compartments by means of lateral arches. The central bay, larger than the others, has exceptionally rich decoration. The usual arched recess sunk deeply into the western wall serves as the mihrab. It is crowned, like its flanking counterparts, with a high double dome placed on squinches composed of eight small arched panels embellished with tiled pane.
Dai Anga Mosque is a mosque situated near the railway station of Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. This historic Mosque is in the Naulakha area, about quarter mile away from Lahore Railway Station.
Important Highlights of Dai Anga Mosque:
Address: Near Lahore Railway Station in the Naulakha area.
Builder: Zeb Un Nisa aka Dai Anga, was a wet nurse of Mughal King Shah Jehan and was well respected in the royal family.

Shah Jahan Mosque

Shah Jehan Masjid (Shah Jehan’s Mosque):
Shah Jehan’s Mosque - Shah Jehan’s Mosque, situated on Thatta’s outskirts, is representative of Muslim architecture. It was built in 1647 A.D. by the Moghal Emperor Shah Jehan.This fantastic mosque is said to have the most sophisticated display of blue and white tile work in South Asia. The tiles were created using an ancient method passed down from generation to generation. Artist’s who reproduce these tiles today claim that the blue and white tile qualities are unattainable in other locations around the globe due to the rare constituents used coupled with their unique processes. This is a definite ‘have to see’ for those interested in artistic masterpieces.

Tooba Mosque

Masjid-e-Tooba - (Royal Mosque):
Masjid-e-Tooba is modern marvel of architecture.  It is said have largest single dome in the world that actually drapes the entire prayer hall with a capacity to accommodate a group of 5000.  The Mosque has only one minaret that towers 70 meters into the sky.
Masjid e Tooba or Tooba Mosque is in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan, and is locally known as the Gol Masjid. Masjid e Tooba was built in 1969 in Defence Housing Society Karachi, Karachi. It is just off main Korangi Road.

Pearl Mosque - Moti Masjid

Moti Masjid (Pearl Mosque):
Pearl Mosque, otherwise known as Moti Mosque, was completed in 1659 and is located within the famous Lahore Fort in the city of Lahore. The famous Taj Mahal, one of the top 7 wonders of the world, and the famous Diwan-e-Khas, which overlooks the Ravi, in Pakistan, was constructed by Shah Jahn, and the Pearl Mosque is just another feather in his hat.
Adjacent to Pearl Mosque is where you can see this world renowned architect’s sleeping chamber that is today open for pubic viewing. Within the same complex, beyond the audience hall, is an exclusive place that was once reserved for only royal ladies. Lovely carved marble, and lustrous pearls, can be seen in this luxurious area that once catered to only the most elite woman of this period.
Nearby is a marble pavilion called "Naulakha" Inlaid floral motifs and precious gems adorn this fascinating pavilion. Sheesh Mahal, or Palace of Mirrors, is another one of Shah Jahan’s projects constructed at the time the Pearl Mosque was erected. Mirrors and ornate designed stars and patterns decorate the ceilings of the palace. Beautiful mosaic paintings depicting the Mughal Prince’s sport decorate the walls. It was in the Palace of Mirrors that people gathered to view the Emperor Jharokha and admire this luminously colored wall. Here you will find a dazzling veranda that overlooks a marble paved quadrangle with a fountain.
Moti Masjid, one of the "Pearl Mosques", is a 17th-century religious building located inside the Lahore Fort. It is a small, white marble structure built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, and is among his prominent extensions to the Lahore Fort Complex.
